Is SEO dead?

No. But a search result is often only the beginning of a customer’s decision.

Include your company name and city when booking.

I’m Michael Azcona, Business Development Representative at BBB Heart of Texas. This is my independent explanation for Texas businesses. Verify my BBB directory listing.

Is SEO dead?

No. A business still needs a useful, crawlable website with clear service information. Google says its existing SEO fundamentals continue to matter for AI features. What has changed is the path customers may take: they can see a website, a business profile, service information, and a generated answer before deciding whom to call.

Where does BBB fit?

The company website explains its services and shows its work. A current BBB Business Profile gives people a separate place to inspect identity, categories, history, and current Accreditation status. The two records should describe the same business. Accreditation itself does not make website changes or manage search campaigns.

Does the BBB website link boost my rankings?

The website link on a BBB profile is useful because a person can click through to the business. I do not sell Accreditation as a high-authority backlink or promise a transfer of ranking value. A functional visit, a consistent citation, and a verifiable credential are different kinds of value.

Can an accurate profile help AI explain my business?

Public facts may be used by search and answer systems, but the answer depends on the question, the system, and the sources it selects. Keep business name, locations, services and credentials accurate across the company website and independent records. Check any AI claim of BBB Accreditation against the current BBB profile. Inclusion, citation and recommendation cannot be guaranteed.

How do search and trust work together?

Discovery gives a business the first look. The next question is whether a customer finds enough credible information to feel confident taking action. A current profile, accurate business facts, useful service information and a verifiable Accreditation commitment can support that evaluation. A seal belongs to an eligible Accredited Business under BBB rules; this independent guide does not display one.

What should I check first?

Search your exact business name. Compare your website, Google Business Profile and BBB Business Profile for name, phone, service area, categories and website. Identify one inaccurate fact and one missing proof item, then assign someone to correct each at the source.

Search creates the opportunity. Trust helps the customer act.

The business website, public records and customer experience should tell one accurate story. BBB can provide an independent place to inspect part of that story; it does not control Google or an AI system.

CHECK THE NEXT ACTION.

Tagged links can identify campaign traffic in Google Analytics. Then check the actions you have configured: call clicks, form submissions, and completed bookings. Tracking setup and booking integration are required.

I can work directly with you and your existing tracking systems, or coordinate with your marketing team. A call click is different from a completed call; qualified inquiries and booked work need their own records.
